Welcome to creative.space! As a Client, you are able to browse assets and download assets with tag-based filtering.
Introducing the Platform
The award-winning creative.space platform from DigitalGlue is a storage-as-a-service that provides on-premises storage servers for video post production teams. The Client role allows customers to share a curated library of assets so they can be browsed, inspected, and downloaded.
The benefit of this approach is that you are able to access the same files that the post production team is working with. No more waiting for cloud uploads, which cuts time to delivery in half.
Understanding the Libraries Interface
Sidebar
The Sidebar of the ‘Libraries’ page displays all of tags for your currently selected library organized in their categories and sections.
Related Actions:
- Select a Library - Click on the ‘Browsing’ dropdown to select a library.
- Refresh - Reloads the viewport.
- Filter Assets Using Tags - Click on tags to filter the viewport to only assets that include them.
Viewport
The Viewport in the ‘Libraries’ interface is where the assets in the library are listed and can be filtered.
- Text Filter - Type in a text string to filter the viewport to list only assets that include that text in its name.
- Select All - A circle icon for selecting all the assets listed in the viewport.
- Selected Tags - A list of the currently selected tags, which can be deselected by clicking on them.
- Listed Assets - All of the assets in the library with the currently selected tag.
- Colored Tag Dots - Colored dots that represent each of the tags applied to a listed asset, which show the tag name as a tooltip when hovered.
- Inspect an Asset - Click on an asset to open the Inspector, provided you’ve been granted permission.
Inspector
View a preview, metadata, and available actions for an asset, which may be a file or a folder-as-a-file format such as RED clips with the .RDC extension.
Available Actions in Top Bar (Left to Right):
- Copy Name - Click on the name of the asset to copy it to your clipboard.
- Refresh - Reload the Inspector and generate a new thumbnail.
- Copy Link - Copy the link to the current filter for the library.
- Download Thumbnail - Download the thumbnail that was generated for the
- Pop-out Metadata - Open the Inspector as a card that will persist as you navigate the web app.
- Download - Download the file via your web browser.
Additional Actions:
- View Tags in the Inspector - See all the tags applied to the selected asset.
- Filter Assets Using Tags - Click on tags in the inspector to add them to the current filter.
